Know Yourself

I and myself ... A story yet to be told!

When people asked the Greek philosopher Plato to summarize the philosophical wisdom in the universe, the answer was only two words "Know yourself." This simple answer provided a summary of the thought of the oldest philosophical school, a school appeared with the emergence of human cognition and flourished through self-knowledge and acceptance rather than denial as a means of understanding the world and existence. Through this point of view, the human self is a miniature world, and understanding it leads to the understanding of the whole existence. To understand the mysteries of the human-self leads us to the infinite self, which is the heart of the universe.

If a person wanted to overcome the wounds that infect his inner self, he must be familiar with the inner and outer self. This natural awareness, which does not relate to intellectual theories and myths, is the best way to get to know the human self within us and how much it is vast and contains all the goodness, truth, and beauty and it is not malformed by any fundamental shortage or a sin or a congenital defect that requires fighting against it. Human Self is the best portrayal of the mind of the creator, as it is a part of the majestic universe, even if its behavior  and thinking method stand as an obstacle in the way of this cosmic sparkle.

However, that does not contradict the fact that there are human flaws, on the contrary. Every human experiences all sorts of feelings; he feels anger, sadness, joy, love and hatred. A human is capable of destruction as well as establishing and being as cause of death as being a cause of life as well. The philosopher Nietzsche said: "Creation and the Creator are united within the human." Human is a combination of materials, fragments, silt, waste, and chaos, but at the same time he is innovative and creative.

The eternal question!

"Who are you?" This question may seem easy at first glance, but both the mind and the heart may be unable to find an answer; where the mind cannot find a rational and a clear answer, and the heart find it difficult to find a spontaneous answer to such a profound question.

That is difficult, as it needs balance, transparency and understanding of the needs of the human self. The answer to that needs tranquility and humility to help the man throw aside all the impurities that have accumulated over many years.

Humility has a vital role in making the human able to reconcile with himself and accept it, which helps him to view it from a humanitarian level and not through the difference between his Self and others selves. A man reaches the stage of humility when he stops believing that he is center of the universe, and that he is the best. Humility makes a person look at everyone else from the same level.

Be silent for a moment…. before you head for the truth
